Nice establishment with friendly people. The tea and baklava are tasty. Breakfast however felt a little bland and small in quantity. It is one of the few halal spots in Palm Springs though so that is nice for those that eat halal meat.
I just went it for my time. First impression the cashier was very friendly and answered all
my questions and the location was beautiful. They had a beautiful wall with a violin in the middle but someone was sitting there when I walk in so I couldn’t take a picture I was there briefly since I had to get back to work I got a hazelnut latte and a few macaroons. Everything was great. Can’t wait to go back and try the Turkish coffee and desserts! Omgg the coffee was perfection!
This adorable floral oasis in a small strip was the perfect pick up we needed.
We were searching for a date shake, but I was super excited to have some Turkish and middle eastern desserts as well.
It's been a while since I've had such fresh and flavorful pistachio baklava of varying styles. Every one was outstanding. Tasted like my childhood!
The cardamom tea was a perfect end.
The owner was so kind and made us feel like old friends.
Thank you for the great experience!
Ps the date shake was a triple thumbs up from all of us!
Was visiting Palm Springs from LA and was craving something authentic and homemade. Found this awesome family-run cafe that recently opened. The family is so sweet - their sons are the sweetest. The food was DELISH! Exactly what I needed. We ordered beef kabob meal, chicken shawarma meal, chicken shawarma sandwich, hummus, and eggplant. We also ordered Turkish coffee, arabic coffee, and Iraqi tea. The desserts were amazing and authentic. We came in hungry and left FULL! It was one of the best meals I have had in years. So happy to have found this place and will DEFINITELY be returning!
Do you want the best Baklava and Turkish coffee? Go to the Golden Dates Cafe. What a lovely spot and what lovely folks who run it! Usually I’m not a huge fan of Baklava but this one is different. Really featured the delicate pistachio flavor instead of an emphasis on the honey. The Turkish coffee was smooth with beautiful cardamom aromas. This will be a place I visit every time I’m in town!
