Loco Charlie's Mexican Grill

One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in Palm Springs. A little pricey but worth it. Staff is always friendly and it's always busy which is a good sign!

My husband and I are originally from SD and for us it's hard to find good Mexican food.. we have lived out here for about 6 years and have only found 2 good ones in the few years ...This place is one of them....we really enjoyed our meals... I believe he was the owner but he was very nice and prompt. Service was great...food was even better... cant wait to come back again.

Solid Mexican style dishes. NO REAL COCKTAILS, despite what it says online and on the menu. Outdoor seating is a plus in this area, but proximity to the airport is a plus and a minus. It's enjoyable to see jets zoom off so close, but the noise can interfere with conversations. Ok for lunch, but misses the mark as a dinner stop. While the food is good and reasonable, you can get better at many places in PS. Plus, the others sell actual cocktails, which I found disturbing here. After looking online at the menu, we largely decided on Loco Charlie's because we felt like having a couple drinks. What they DON"T mention is that they do not have a bar, and use a "wine base" to make "cocktails." I found this out accidentally when I asked for a tequila shot (shots are on the menu!) and was told that they don't have tequila.
Yo Charlie! You need to be up front with people. Please don't lead folks to believe you sell what you don't have. As a result, I have to write this review and tell others that there are better choices. This place was recommended to me, so we tried it. Won't be back

I enjoyed my salmon taco! The ambiance is amazing, and the servers are very accommodating. I have the pleasure of meeting Charlie! He is a jewel. Check it out I'm sure you will love it!
