Ruby's Diner

Fun place. Great wait people. Foods good too.

My girlfriend Dawn and I had breakfast here and it was great!!! We ordered two different breakfast combinations and shared the food not only the food was delicious and very inexpensive we couldn't eat all of it and took it home and I had breakfast for the next two mornings on the leftovers. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the downtown Palm Springs area and looking for a great breakfast at a very reasonable price. I also recommend the French toast, ham combo it is soooo good.

I felt that I needed to address today's visit to Ruby's. This is one of my favorite places to eat and today's food was no exception, excellent. The service was nothing short of pathetic. We were seated outside and two parties arrived after us. They received their beverages and orders taken. We sat patiently for about 10 minutes (both other parties moved inside) and our server came to take our drink order. We ordered our food at this time. We waited a reasonable amount of time for our food. Two of us were sharing a meal and we asked for an extra plate but it never came. No condiments except for ketchup were put on the table. Not once did anyone come out to check on us. Our payment was offered before we received the bill! Our server apologized at this time for the bad service , advising us that they were short staffed. It appeared to me that all the patrons inside were well looked after. Perhaps I would have been less upset if the server had shown just a little interest in us. Also, it was chilly out so after asking three people if we could have a heater on. One was turned on and it ran out of propane!

I went to Ruby's Diner today for lunch in Palm Springs. I guess you can say that I really enjoyed the food. The service was excellent as well.The staff are very friendly, attentive, and prompt. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town. I love to old music playing Bing Crosby Christmas carols you just here that type of music anymore.
