love this tiny vietnamese fusion spot hidden in an equally tiny palm springs strip mall. relaxed, slightly bohemian vibe. very efficient, attentive service. food is delicious & shareable. popular & cozy, so go early if you want to beat the crowd, or just be prepared to hang out in the parking lot as they run through the sign-in list. there are a few bar stools in back and a few tables outside at the front, but the whole front of the restaurant is windows... perfect on a nice evening. enjoy!
Everything I ate was delicious. There was a short wait at 5:30 on a Monday... This place is popular, and with good reason! The ingredients used were incredibly fresh. Entrees were around $16-17 each, worth the cost!
Totally delicious, fresh and zingy. It's everything I wanted. Bonus free congee upon arrival which was such a delightful savoury treat. We had the butternut squash fresh rolls, the watercress and shrimp salad and finished on the black pepper tofu with rice $38 for everything. Spicy, tasty and fresh. I would highly recommend.
Why is leaving a restaurant full and satisfied NOT good enough?
For someone who dines out numerous times a week, I’d typically leave a restaurant full and satisfied. However, EVERY TIME I dine at Rooster and the Pig, I experience such delicious flavor of food that my taste buds go crazy! Yes crazy for more. The varied choices of selections are unique and beautifully presented. I am now realizing that dining out needs to be more than feeling stuffed. Rooster and the Pig is a “must go” to place. The atmosphere is welcoming and the vibe is fun. No reservations are available and you may face a wait but the wait is well worth it. Go right when it opens or later in the evening. Palm Springs diners are early eaters between 5-8. Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
There were a lot of people waiting when we arrived but the line went surprisingly fast. Well organized and efficient staff. Waiter was very pleasant and suggested a couple of items on the me u that were great as it was our first time there. Food was flavorful and well presented. Worth the wait.
