The Golden Bear

An old school style pub place with a young hip staff. We had the breakfast pizza during Brunch, which we enjoyed. Later we had their specials, which were very good. I would recommend them for sure, so check out what's available. It's a pretty small place with smoking for seats outside. I'm not a fan with the smoking. The service was outstanding. It's one of only a few places in Sacramento to have been on Diners Drive-in and Dives, and it has been many years ago, but I can still see why it was selected for the show.

Great local pub with an amazing chef! Daily specials are constantly changing with something new to try every time I go in. Great personable bar tenders. If you like burgers, try the Juicy Lucy!

One of my favorite places for drinks in Sacramento. The bartenders are friendly, professional, and consistently make excellent cocktails. They often have a live DJ and while the dance floor may get a little crowded, I've always had a blast. Another one of my favorite parts of this place is the back room which is another dance floor but also allows smoking. Thank you Golden Bear for rocking Sacramento's downtown seen.

A pretty good spot to check out if you're in the area. The staff are friendly, has a good atmosphere, and the drinks are not overpriced. It get crowded easily as it's a very tight space. But the patio with heat lamps is a great option. I forget her name but the bartender girl is always bringing good energy and vibes to the bar with a great attitude and spirit. Super friendly and knows how to sling drinks! You need to be prepared to have a small wait for service as the small space allows for 2 bar tenders...and it gets busy. But the mixed drinks tend to be made pretty well and their drink specials are worth it.

Stopped by due to an online recommendation. We were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is a little sparse but the food makes up for it. The chef takes great pride in his work. The turnip soup was amazing.
