This place is so delicious. The coconut curry is incredible and the potato wedges (YOU GUYS, THE POTATO WEDGES) were incredible. It is a bit more! We paid about 12-16 a plate and drinks are around 5, but the quality is more than worth it.
And the ambiance! It’s a nice upper story restaurant with a view and some calm music. The service is great! I’m going here again for sure!

Had brunch on our first visit, cozy but spacious upstairs space, price point $12-$18 per dish but portion size was very generous. Staff were friendly and food was amazing. Great selection of teas, beer choices more limited. The chicken (fried oyster mushrooms) and waffles was especially delicious. Will definitely visit again.

I love veg. The ambiance is amazing and the menu is full of incredible vegan options. What I love most though are the daily specials that always rotate and are always worth trying. In particular the brunch breakfast burrito with JUST eggs is one of the best brunch items in sac...the sauce on there is ridiculously good. Do yourself a favor and head there on the weekend for brunch (and if you're hungry enough get the chocolate chip and banana pancakes too).

I love what Veg stands for and wanted to love it. But we were there for 45 minutes before we got our food, and the burgers, although good, had a funny flavor. I think it was the cheese sauce they use. I enjoyed the Impossible burgers from other restaurants much more.

First of all, I eat everything, so I don't normally hunt out vegan or vegetarian restaurants. I've been to a number of them, but never came away entirely happy. But our son is vegan, and for his birthday he wanted to go to Veg Cafe, so off we went. And I must confess I enjoyed it tremendously! I had the Impossible Burger with cheddar cheese (?) and fries, and it was delicious and filling. The setting is the 2nd floor, above the excellent Thai Basil restaurant. Nice and casual, bright and clean. A full bar is available. Prices were pretty reasonable for a vegan restaurant. Service was leisurely and friendly, which was exactly what we looked for.
