This place is a hidden gem in a local strip mall. Wish its location could be more visible. I like their crispy beef wrap and Shanghai wonton soup. Authentic and not Americanized. Last time, I had soup dumplings which were freshly made (you can see that chefs are making dumplings to order in the corner of the kitchen) and excellent. Even if they were take out, still tasty, not greasy at home. Personally food is better than Yue Huang in Natomas.
We came in around 11am for a quick brunch on a Sunday and were seated right away. The place was quite empty, but it's kind of tucked away in the far inner corner of the plaza, (plus it's new!) so understandable. The menu has more dishes than at 88 Bao Bao and is comparable to Yue Huang on Truxel. The dumplings were as good as any other place. If you just want some dumplings and don't want to fight with the ridiculously long lines as Yua Huang, I'd recommend this place as an alternative.
Food was good, but minus one star for food wait time. It was just 3 occupied tables and we only ordered 3 items to try, but they took a long time to bring out each item instead of bringing out most of the items at the same time. We finished each dish fairly quickly and found ourselves just waiting for the next one to come. The other tables were waiting for their dishes as well. Hopefully, when business picks up, they will get more efficient at bringing out food.
Decent restaurant, friendly service. The signature pork xiaolongbao and shanghai wonton soup were decent. The signature pan-fried soup dumplings were excellent. Highly recommended. The spicy sezhuang beef noodle soup and ChongQing spicy chicken were delicious as well. Recommended. Note that the deep fried chicken was bone-in. The shrimps on the shrimp& pork xiaolongbao were too hard. Probably due to overcooked.
Very friendly people with amazing food, just the smell will have your mouth watering 🤤 with affordable prices you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. 😋 Guaranteed coming back soon 😉👌✨
