Due to setbacks of the pandemic lockdowns followed by vandalism and burglary, as of April 2022 the Bagdad Cafe is not yet back to serving food and drinks. You may however meet the sweet owner working there who is happy to tell you all about the history of the place and her plans to get it running again. T-shirts, mugs and shot glass souvenirs are available for purchase - and to help support her efforts to fully reopen again.

Stopped by to check out the world famous Bagdad Cafe while on Route 66. Looks like a cool Route 66 relic. Happiness travelz says stop by if your in the area

Quirky, out of the ordinary place to visit with simple, small town service. Staff is very friendly and chatty.

The food was surprisingly good. My companions had a Denver omellet and I had the chef's salad. Definitely tastier and fresher than fast food places.

This cafe was the location of the movie "Bagdad Cafe". If you like quirky, dry humor, definitely watch it and come visit. The movie was a mild success in the US but a big hit in Europe and especially France. I can see why. There's lots of memorabilia from all the foreign visitors.

We definitely enjoyed our visit and chatting with the folks here. Will visit again.

What a fun experience dining at this Route 66 icon. “Chef Michael” served up a tasty “Christine Size” with such good meat. This place is filled with memorabilia and notes left by worldwide visitors to this movie shrine where the cult film “Bagdad Cafe” was filmed.

Michael and the owner love to tell stories of the movie shoot and local history. I was treated like royalty here, like one of the family. Eating here will definitely enhance your Route 66 experience.
