Hilltop Chinese restaurant

Excellent service, great food, great prices. The owners are so nice and welcoming! HIGHLY recommend!!! They also have the best resident dog in history!!

They are now open and serving express, buffet style Chinese food. Great prices but still not sold on the food. Need to get rolling and learn how to keep fresh and warm. Other than that it's good stuff.

Delicious food and great service make this restaurant an outstanding option for locals and folks traveling through Running Springs. Hilltop Chinese is great for kids and groups. The menu always has new delicious options but the honey walnut shrimp are too good to pass up. Tonight they had green beans that my kids were fighting over. It's a local gem well worth the visit.

I've been watching reviews and listening to feedback from other locals, and finally decided to try the food tonight. I'd add pictures, but devoured my meal without foresight.

As we walked in, a man working at a table welcomed us warmly, and was followed quickly by the counter staff. They are all very friendly, inviting and happy to answer any questions. We were offered samples and my otherwise simple decision became complicated. The pork was moist, tender and not overwhelmed by other flavors. I brought home orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp and broccoli beef, and was impressed by each.

As others have said, the honey walnut shrimp was delicious, and cooked to perfection. The Orange Chicken was a great choice - tender chicken with light breading and a perfect complement of orange sauce. The broccoli beef was cooked so well. The broccoli is very fresh, and only lightly steamed, so that the crisp stalk crunches as you bite through. I prefer this, and found it to be excellent. The beef melted in my mouth, and was almost in equal proportion to the amount of broccoli.

Running Springs has needed a variation on the restaurants we've had for years, and this perfectly answers the call. I can't wait to go back, and plan to bring all our friends and family!
