A hidden gem inside a gas station. You have to know it exists to find it. Good vegan options, and Indian-like food (eg Indian burritos). Small. Friendly staff.
Jumbo Rock Cafe' is an excellent example of why you shouldn't knock it till you try it. If it's your first time there, you may be a little confused walking into a Mobil gas station. The cafe/restaurant is located inside the back of the gas station.
However, I can assure you, you will not be disappointed! Jumbo Cafe has an amazing menu and is quite the neat little cafe. The food is above all, amazing!
I would highly recommend the Monument Burger. It is the best burger I have had from Twentynine Palms to Yucca Valley. I will update this review if I find something better.
This Cafe is inside the gas station! It took me a while to realize that's where it is. You can park at the gas station and walk into the front door, then walk all the way to the back and you will see the cafe. I've only had coffee there and it's always delicious. The food smells and looks good too.
Staff is super friendly and hard-working! The food was tasty, definitely a lil gem in a sleepy town. Like everyone else says, the coffee is especially amazing. Worth a stop if you're in town, they even have vegan and gluten free options!
The staff is very friendly and the cafe is clean and tidy. We had the delicious sliders for lunch. They were beefy and fresh tasting on a soft brioche bun, the fries were cooked perfectly and have a yummy flavored salt. I had a small fruit smoothie (so good!) and my friend had a lovely hot coffee drink.
We were not in a hurry, they were quite busy with business both inside the restaurant and also "to go" orders.
Don't expect "fast food" from this little gem. They hand craft their food and it takes time, it's well worth the wait!????
