Chandler's Restaurant & Lounge

I came for a 6:30PM reservation on a Saturday night for an anniversary dinner with my husband. Literally everything was outstanding. The wait staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was fabulous. It was also busy (being Saturday night) but the staff didn't seem overwhelmed and the dining room had a pleasant ambiance. I was a little bummed the beer I wanted to try had been switched out (it was still on the menu), but the server was quick to offer suggestions I may enjoy instead, and he was spot on. I'd definitely come back for any special occasion meal.

Great food, uncommonly well prepared and consistent for a hotel restaurant. Some of the morning crew felt like they didn't want to be there. I understand it's hard, but moderate, brusque service feels underwhelming in the presence of the rest of the property's consistent positivity and customer satisfaction focus.

Food was delicious, atmosphere had a pleasant amount of lightness and class to it, and the service was pleasant. Conversation is always welcome. Try the Hard Kombucha. Tip from Tarra, my server. Delicious. Will be back next time I'm in Carlsbad.
