Harumama Teriyaki & Bao

My husband and I had 3 different bao buns, miso soup, and the hibiscus refresher for lunch. Everything was delicious! I couldn't decide which bun I liked best.

Having previously tried Harumama's Little Italy location, we were excited to try this spinoff! With a different menu, we decided to try several different things: jalapeño Crunch Chicken Bites, 4 different character baos (beef, pork, tofu & chicken), chicken cutlet curry, and delimanjoo. Let me start off by saying this was A LOT of food!

Highlights: Amazing fried chicken (so juicy and crunchy), good prices, calm ambience, friendly wait staff, nice variety in menu, generous portions, great location in Carlsbad Village with ample parking nearby

The only opportunity for improvement would be the amount of curry sauce that was given. The flavor of the broth was delicious, so was hoping for a little more-- they bring you a hot stone plate with rice, veggies and your protein and allow you to pour the curry yourself. There is so much satisfaction as you empty the container and it sizzles onto the plate. Overall a great first experience, and a solid soft opening. Can't wait to return in the near future!
