Tacos El Gordo

I've never had tacos as amazing and cheap as the ones here. They were so delicious and flavorful. My boyfriend and I went back on line to get more after finishing a tray full of tacos. It was easy to find parking in the area, especially when you come early. There is plenty of seating available inside and outside of the restaurant. They will also cover your plates of tacos with aluminum foil if you're getting them to go.

I give this resturant a 10/10 and its food 10/10. They get very busy but are well worth the wait. I would say they are up there with the best tacos in San Diego. Also if you are a first responder they will send someone to take your order if they are busy so that you do not waste your meal break waiting in line. Great service and food at fair prices!

The tacos are good. However, there is a major inconvenience. The system they have for the customers to get their tacos doesn't work. The juicy part of eating tacos is that you can eat them warm if you are eating them at the taco shop. This place claims to be like Tijuana but is not, depending on the taco you want, you have to make a line; so if you are eating three different kinds of tacos, then you have to make three different lines and then go to the cashier and pay before you can sit down and eat. Therefore, by the time you make it to your table, if there is one available, your tacos are absolutely cold, which is a big turn off. My wife and I went there around 1:00 AM, it was cold and rainy and the security guard had the entrance doors wide open, which got your tacos cold a lot faster. They need to come with a better idea. Perhaps have table attendants that can provide the orders in a timely manner without the customers having to make different lines. Also, there should be a supervisor making the proper decisions for the convenience of the customers, instead of a security guard, whom has no idea of the service.

Some of the best tacos I've had in the US. The wait is usually extremely long if you go during any kind of normal eating hours AND night time. Everyone is trying to eat here. Just be aware of the wait. But once that nightmare is over, the tasty food will make everything worth it. I recommend ordering enough at once so you don't have to go back in line.

I really liked this place. Very clean. Great service. Really cool menu. I thought the tacos were a little dry compared to where I live in Texas but it could just be a regional thing. Awesome people here though, I would definitely go back.
