The Famous Mexican Village

Visited this place and loved it. Good service and great live music. Reasonable prices. Very nicely decorated and huge bar!

Stopped by for quick appetizer and drink on the patio. Hostess was very friendly and sat us right away.
Server was very slow getting to us and told us he was our "acting server". Whatever that means. Finally took our drink and food order. Drinks finally cam out and they were very good, but very strong. We ordered two appetizer plates, but they only brought out one. Server finally came to check in us and realized we only got one, came back out quickly with the other. Portobello mushroom tacos were delicious as was their rice and beans. Carne Asada fries were very good as well.
Food was excellent and very fresh, but service was a bit slow. Worth a second try.

Went yesterday based on reviews. Not a good experience. Poor service though ice server
abscent management. Staff engaged with regulars at bar. Chips and salsa great. Food wasn't. I think its a fun bar with a group, but not a slow day lunch spot. For Mexican food there is much better for much less near by. Hoping for better but disappointing.

It's amazing the effect good service can have on a customer. I've had the morning from hell at my hotel because of crappy service and overall just a staff that clearly doesn't care about the guest. Mexican Village is the exact opposite of that. My server Jack has made my morning better by his awesome service and his happy , welcoming demeanor. Mexican Village should feel honored that such a great server is working for them. The food was awesome too but the service made this lunch so enjoyable and truly made my day better.
