Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill

Perfect patio lunch to catch the sun, water view, and good seafood. We attended a Change of Command at North Island Naval Base, a moving patriotic ceremony, and came to Bluewater to celebrate our friend's successful Naval career. The food , service and harbor view was great. Gary is a superb server and we learned he is a former Marine. We had an enjoyable conversation with Gary and Kristy
We will go back!

Wonderful dinner. She had the Lobster and I had the Fish and Chips. Sourdough bread was wonderful and the huge Prawn Cocktail was yummy. Great presentation and wonderful service. View was nice as well.

Update: as I was writing the review, my wife was using the restroom before we left. She came back with a odd look in her face and a hurried comment of “let’s go, I gotta tell you something when we get outside.” Once outside she tells me she saw a ghost of a woman in the restroom. Only seeing her in the mirror but when she turned around to look there was no one there. So we googled it and sure enough she’s not the only one who’s experienced a ghost sighting in the restaurant. Rest assured my wife said she never felt scared or creeped out, it was just surprising.

Great atmosphere, awesome wait staff. Good selection of drinks. Craft beers. Blackened Black Cod was great. Salmon was dry. Good enough but expected more, crab cakes and clam chowder bland.

This restaurant has a great variety of seafood. I had the salmon and it was pretty good. The service is top notch. I really enjoyed the views of bay. Its definitely a great Coronado experience.

We walked in and was immediately seated by Laurie who was wonderful at her job. She made some great suggestions such as the clam chowder which was perfect. She even let us taste some before bringing a whole bowl out. We felt special and well cared for. She made some great local beach suggestions. The food was great. Tried a seafood platter which was almost too big for two people. We sat outside where they had the deck closed in and heated. This gave us the perfect view of the marina. This was the end of a weekend trip and glad we ended with this experience. Would highly recommend for fresh fish and sea food.
