“If you want a unique cultural experience and incredible food this is your place! The downtown location is our favorite, although parking is a challenge, because the atmosphere is irreplaceable. You enter through the authentic Italian grocery and dine in the backroom. This is where it all began before they added an additional dining room, and the authenticity of the food comes through in the taste. Serving sizes are authentic too, you will leave full and likely with a doggie bag. My favorites are the sausage sandwich, lasagna, and their pizza. I have never been disappointed and have to force myself to try new dishes because I know how much I've enjoyed past dishes. Lines on the weekend can be a bit lengthy so be prepared to wait in line to be seated during prime times, it's worth the wait. Easily one of the best, and most affordable, places to dine in San Diego. You can't go wrong here.”
