I like this place, but their vegetarian/fish options are forgettable or don't exist. I live a five minute walk away and love steak, but my vegetarian wife can only have the baked potato. They won't even do a substitution of a vegetable for the bacon that comes with the potato, so she needs to order a full side of cheesy broccoli. I guess part of this restaurants charm is that it's a bit of a throwback, but the menu is just out of date.
Hipster cook your own steakhouse. Great place for a date night. Good, but it used to be better, so I'm only giving 4 stars, but still an excellent choice compared to most in East county.
This cook your own steak restaurant was pretty good, I did the Surf and Turf, which came with a good size steak and 3 shrimps on a skewer. You will have pay for sides separately, which I did Cheesy broccoli. broccoli was flavored well, and broccoli was crisp and fresh. For dessert, I did the Bananas Foster, the liquor didn't burn off all the way, so the liquor taste was still there. Place was empty for a Sunday Night, but somehow it was still loud. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
Loved the place! Live music and great service. Grilling steaks was funner and much less complicated than I had anticipated. Great service!
So so so loud. We couldn't have a conversion at our table. We were in the restaurant, not the bar.
Cutlery was dirty. Glasses were dirty.
Food was great! Fun grilling experience. Service was ok. Very nice and polite staff, just super slow.
