“After following Extraordinary Banana Pudding on social for a while now, finally drove to try it out. So glad I did! They have a wide selection of flavors and some vegan and gluten free options too. I picked up four flavors: red velvet, chocolate chip cookie dough, banana bread and the classic banana pudding. My opinion, go with the classics! So delicious! I loved the classic and the banana bread flavor. The pudding is airy and fluffy, and so flavorful. Hit the spot! Love seeing this local small business thriving.”

“I was very hesitant when my wife said we are going to eat at a Mexican/Asian fusion restaurant. However I am So glad we drove an hour a ten minutes, so worth it. The combination of flavors Chef Nate throws together, absolutely incredible. “Mastiff strikes again! I’ve frequented the North Park location many times, and the La Mesa location is equally as impressive. The menu has something for everyone, from a variety of shareable apps & salads, to crispy pan pizza, smash burgers, and fries. We started with a few appetizers - wings, their K.A.C (kale/avocado/chickpea) salad, brussel sprouts & pork nugs. All were fantastic! We then shared the “That’s My Boy” crispy pan pizza, smash burger, and Mastiff fries. The pizza is phenomenal, and baked in a pan so everyone gets a slice with a crispy edge. The burger was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. They’re known for their Mastiff Fries, which never disappoint. We sat at the bar, and the restaurant has 30 taps + a variety of wine options. A great location to watch a sporting event while grabbing a bite as they have a lot of TVs! The bar seating service was great, and they also offer counter service ordering for table seating. Overall was very impressed with Mastiff’s newest venture and will definitely be back!”

“So happy and excited that their new location opened in la mesa, I love Nekter for their smoothies and açaí bowls. Me and my daughters came and ordered one of our favorites strawberry banana with peanut butter and pea protein. Pink flamingo and the green machine are also some smoothies I highly recommend. My youngest daughter tried their new vegan ice cream strawberry dream, staff was nice to have her try it before purchasing. Will be coming by more often since this location opened near me. Stop by to try!”

“Amazing food, Friendly staff and OMG the green Chilaquiles (with chicken) are the best I’ve had in quite a while! I was heading to the movie theater when I seen someone having some. I am a picky eater (especially with my chilaquiles) but her plate looked sooo good that I just had to try them! I was not disappointed!! This is my go to place whenever I’m craving Chilaquiles! So glad I found this hidden gem!”

“Got the orange chicken combo with egg flower soup(so creamy) and the salt and pepper wings which are not pictured. The food was 10/10. Orange chicken was sweet and had juicy chicken. Everything was made fresh. Came out steaming hot. The salt and pepper chicken wings were to die for- chicken juicy and the extra seasoning on top was delicious. Got the 8 piece cream cheese wontons and those were good too! I would come here again, and i would bring the family next time too. More expensive than the last owners but you are given way more food and the food quality seems to be better. When we were done eating, the staff came and boxed our food up for us at our table, we didn’t even ask. Great hospitality, great food. What a hidden gem.”

“Need a new breakfast or lunch hangout? Sheldon’s service station has a great under awning patio dining room and a great view. They have an excellent selection of espresso beverages both hot and cold, along with an assortment of breakfast and lunch creations. I really enjoyed my smoked salmon on toasted bagel with cream cheese. My dining buddies enjoyed their 3 egg omelet and eggs Benedict with bacon on an English muffin. The prices are fair for the amount of food offered.”

“As soon as things started opening up again I called around to some local coffee shops to see if any of them were open for dine-in so I could get out of the house to get some work done. This was the third place I called and the first one who was open for dine-in, and I'm SO GLAD they were, because I love this place, I've been coming here 2-3 times a week since I found them. The owner Frank and the rest of the staff are all super nice. They have a great cold brew coffee, and sometimes at the end of the day I'll get a beer because they have a wonderful beer selection as well. I'm meeting a buddy to try the food tomorrow, it always looks and smells so delicious. Also the music is great to vibe to. This is my spot for sure.”
