Everything tasted amazing!!! Service was great and the place It self is beautiful !! 100% recommended especially for a date night!!

This restaurant has taken over the long time Basilco. The menu looked decent and the flavors of the food were good. They make their pasta fresh in house however, the pasta dishes were received were too think and undercooked making it too chewy. The waiter was great and attentive. The waiter offered to replace the dish, but I don't like to waste food so I told him I'll keep it, plus flavor was still good. He gave us two free desserts to make up for the pasta. Another minus mark was the bread that was served with the eggplant parmigiana was hard as a rock. Others didn't seem to have the same issues, so hopefully we were just a anomaly. Prices a little high for the area but otherwise not too overly priced for a restaurant with homemade pasta.

I usually don't write negative reviews, and I'm sorry I am writing one now. I really wanted this place to be great since it's in our neighborhood.

The service was great. We were sited right away (considering we didn't have reservation). Our table was on the patio and due to proximity to freeway it was a bit noisy to the point that it was hard to hear the music that was playing on the background (glass barrier along side of the fence would make a big difference). I'm sure if you get a table inside it would be a different experience. Food was OK, I had salmon which was a little on the dry side, but still taste good. Also, for some reason they don't give you bread basket and olive oil dressing to munch on while you wait for your order 🤔. We love italian food and always go to different italian restaurants and this was the first time without a bread basket 😒. Margarita could've been a little stronger. Dessert was good.
Overall it was a fine experience.

This restaurant is INCREDIBLE. Imported Italian cheeses. Fresh pasta. Fresh cheese wheel pasta bowls made table side. Incredibly cute atmosphere. Great drinks. What’s not to like?

I could not sign the praises of my spaghetti with pistachio cream sauce and burrata enough. I think I could eat that every day of my life. The cacio e pepe was also to die for, although I’m certain you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

La Mesa's newest Italian restaurant in San Diego exceeded all expectations during its soft opening. With ample parking and a warm ambiance, it provided the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. Their cheese wheel dish was a standout, offering a unique and indulgent flavor. From appetizers to desserts, every dish showcased the chef's expertise in authentic Italian cuisine. I highly recommend visiting this new Italian gem in La Mesa for a truly lovely dining experience.
