Delicious food, great atmosphere, and awesome service. Our waiter, Victor, delivered the highest quality service and we can't wait to return. The only small problem we had was wait times for food once the dinner rush picked up, but as a new restaurant I fully expect them to be working out the kinks the first week. Victor was very consistently considerate and never let us feel unattended to. We can't wait to return. The lasagne of the day was spectacular, the limoncello martini was a treat, and the lava cake was amazing.
First time to Limoncello and it's nice addition to La Mesa Mesa Blvd.
I had the Pappardelle pasta dish and it was very good.
I did enjoy the fresh pasta.
The atmosphere was vibrant but very loud and this may be due to the dome ceiling. The tables are very close together.
I will need to try it again for the other menu items.
Lemoncello, had its opening tonight!!! And what a treat for La Mesa Village. The opening was flawless. Everyone I watched (full house) was seating and served from a menu of delicious modern Italian cuisine. House made pasta. Wow. Wine selection…just try and make a decision. And flying out of the bar was Lemoncello’s signature drink the Lemoncello Martini. Pita and Marilyn were behind the bar and serving drinks like no tomorrow. Both ladies were very attentive to those at the bar while keeping up with the all the drinks for the customers enjoying this open atmosphere restaurant evening. The decor in itself is an attention to detail which describes Lemoncello. When Alberto Morreale, Executive Chef and successful restaurant entrepreneur and Francesco Basile, Executive Chef and owner of the award winning Antica Trattoria, come together…finally…it becomes a no brainer why Lemoncello is the place to go in La Mesa Village.
So happy this place finally open! This cute little Italian spot did not disappoint. The interior is bright and cheery, comfortable seating and beautiful tile everywhere.
The staff was wonderful! Very welcoming and helpful with great recommendations. Very attentive.
The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, homemade pasta (you can actually see it drying in the back) paired with perfectly seasoned and sauced dishes...YUM! We started our meal with sangria and a limoncello martini which was so fun!! If you like a sweet lemony drink, it's definitely worth a try. We followed up with the burrata which was topped with a very delicious and unique red pepper pesto. Would definitely get this again, and was presented beautifully. For the entree, we got the lasagna of the day which was generously portioned and delicious! They also had options of fresh cheese to top your dish, which was a very nice touch. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect in my opinion. A great meal!
TLDR; great new Italian spot, delicious fresh pasta. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!
Their opening night was busy but that can be expected. They seemed to be working out a few kinks with service but overall the servers were friendly, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was great! I ordered the spaghetti nero and the presentation was beautiful! Will definitely come back here.
