The pizza is a great representation of Detroit style pan pizza. It's a must try if your used to just San Diego pizza. The Smash burger is on point. It's a great local joint the staff is super friendly. I'm excited to try the breakfast option that is starting 9/10. Mastiff will open at 10 am It's only going till 12pm then Then normal menu resumes.

It's always good company and the beer selection is delicious!

    Come check it out!

PORK NUGS. I had to stop myself from filling up on them to try the pizza, which was also stellar. The service was great; everyone was very attentive and committed to providing a great experience

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to give it a shot. Enjoyed their food at the North Park Beer Company location for years and was stoked that we didn’t have to drive all the way to NP to partake. Food was great. The KAC salad was huge and delicious, the smash burger sliders were some of the best smash burgers I’ve had and the Mastiff Fries were on point too. Had to get a pint of the Dank Hill from North Park Beer Company to make it official. The beer selection was 30 beers deep with only two not SD local beers and only one not a Southern California brew. Sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive without being pushy. Think we found a new spot to hang out Sundays.

Mastiff strikes again! I’ve frequented the North Park location many times, and the La Mesa location is equally as impressive.

The menu has something for everyone, from a variety of shareable apps & salads, to crispy pan pizza, smash burgers, and fries.

We started with a few appetizers - wings, their K.A.C (kale/avocado/chickpea) salad, brussel sprouts & pork nugs. All were fantastic!

We then shared the “That’s My Boy” crispy pan pizza, smash burger, and Mastiff fries. The pizza is phenomenal, and baked in a pan so everyone gets a slice with a crispy edge.

The burger was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. They’re known for their Mastiff Fries, which never disappoint.

We sat at the bar, and the restaurant has 30 taps + a variety of wine options. A great location to watch a sporting event while grabbing a bite as they have a lot of TVs!

The bar seating service was great, and they also offer counter service ordering for table seating.

Overall was very impressed with Mastiff’s newest venture and will definitely be back!

Went and checked out Mastiff's latest location and they nailed it again.

I've also been a big fan of the pork nugs, they are one of my favorite ways to have pork belly. They have the nice crunch on the outside and still tender on the inside with the extra crunch from the crushed peanuts.

To get some greens in your belly, I really liked the brussel sprouts with the little bit of sweetness to it. The Caesar salad does the trick if you're looking for a dinner sized salad.

The wings are extra crispy and still juicy as well. I'm all about having crispy wings and they definitely have that crunchy bite.

The pizza crust has a nice crunchy crust. The homemade sausage has some great flavor that is much better than most sausage on pizzas you'll find. There is a nice balance to the pizza, not overly cheesy. If you like a thin crust pizza, this won't be your thing though.

They have something like 20 beers, seltzer and kombucha on tap and wine. They also have some good happy hour deals. I'm glad I went.

Had some TVs with different sports on them
