This was an online pop-up food recommendation. We decided to try it out on a whim since it's so close to home. I'm glad we did! The service was great, they explained all the different foods and options. Prices are reasonable - the food portions were .... let's put it this way, we had to take leftovers home. Food is very flavorful with a fresh home cooked feel-no frozen or fast food vibe. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Definitely going back for more!☺️
I’ve been going almost every day since they opened — such a unique addition to North County! Love supporting a family business. The flavors are rich and everything(and I mean EVERYTHING) is HOMEMADE. Hard to find these days.
I get a pastry nearly everyday on my way to work, but their a la carte menu is so good.
Definitely worth checking out - a gem of North County!
The BEST Colombian/Peruvian food this side of the Mississippi. Wow. True to its name everything we tried was immeasurably delicious and homemade with love. Its the second restaurant the family owns, the other is in New York. They have everything from guava empanadas to chaufa to arepas. If you’ve been searching all over SoCal for authentic South American food like I have, then look no further.
Best empanadas ever had in US made fresh hourly/daily. Amazing bakery, breakfast, dinner and lunch entrees. Casual eat-in or grab-and-go. Legitimately Peruvian. Family owned, friendly service. Highly recommend if you crave healthy, savory or sweet, fresh, flavorful and authentic food.
I stopped by this new Latin Restaurant & Bakery and was highly impressed with my experience.
Because they just opened, I know to be more understanding of any issues they may initially have and I should be patient as they correct them.
With that being said, the service is warm, friendly and inviting. I especially like how the owners are working the floor and helping to answer any inquiries, helping customers understand what their brand represents.
Casera is a Latin restaurant on one side and part bakery on their other half.
The bakery side has fresh-baked goods like breads, empanadas, pâtés and cakes.
The restaurant side has a form of deli-style ordering system. You get in line, order your sides & some proteins from the pre-made dish pots and then you can order certain dishes that will always be made fresh to-order.
This is good for those who want to eat & run or sit & enjoy.
They have plenty of tables for group seating too.
They're kid-friendly and pet-friendly.
I'm truly happy that Oceanside now has Authentic Peruvian & Columbian Cuisine again!
Hoping that everyone get to experience these dishes and sweets!
