Dave’s Hot Chicken

So glad they opened this place here in Oceanside, the atmosphere is awesome the graffiti style artwork is amazing, the food is actually good the chicken is actually spicy if you order it spicy. I recommend it if you’ve never had it. Worth the try.

First time visitor. Seen Grand Opening sign and stopped in right before noon. Food was absolutely great. Employees were professional, helpful and courteous. Loved that the chicken was freshly cooked upon order. Became quite crowded in about 15 minutes as lunch folks came in. Chicken can be prepared mild or spicy. "Sliders" were actually burger size.

This is my first visit at the Hot Dave’s Chicken. Restaurant. Ashley this really friendly cashier said their restaurant at this location has been in business for 2 months now. It’s very new and a Hot New Restaurant that serves spicy chicken Tenders as a combos meals and also serves spicy chicken slider sandwiches.
My order was the one Mild Spicy Chicken Tender with one Mild Spicy Chicken Slider Sandwich on a toasted Brioche Bun with sliced Dill Pickles and Dave’s Mild House Sauce. The Chicken Tender has a breaded outer crust that’s deep fried in vegetable oil with a crispy and spicy texture to it. It comes with one slice of white bread to wrap around my Chicken Tender. I put honey on my sliced white bread and I ate it and it was very tasty this way. The Chicken Tender fills me up and I also ate the Crispy Chicken Slider with Dave’s Mild House Sauce on the Brioche Bun. Both of these Chicken Tender and the Chicken Slider had a really tasty spicy kick to them. Their food is very tasty and delicious! The dill pickles bright out the flavors on these spicy foods more. The customer service from Ashley who took down my order was amazing. Ashley was very happy with an upbeat attitude to me and everyone who placed their orders with Ashley . Ashley gave all of their customers her respect and her kindness. It feels so good for me to be treated with respect and kindness from Ashley. Ashley was wonderful to me their new customer. My food was prepared and cooked pretty quickly. My name and my order number 178 was called within 15 minutes time frame. I met my friend Eric on a Friday evening at 6 p.m. and this Hot Dave’s Chicken place was very crowded with a lot of their new and their regular customers were waiting in line to be served by Ashley. I saw about 4 younger men inside cooking their Spicy Chicken Sandwiches and their Chicken Tenders Pieces with their French Fries in their combination meals. Their Spices comes in 3 different flavors: Light Mild Spicy, Medium Spicy or Hot Spicy. I chose the (Light Mild Spicy for my one piece Chicken Tender and for my Chicken Slider Sandwich). Their Chicken was very juicy and delicious! Their prices are very affordable, I enjoyed eating inside their restaurant in the dining area talking to my friend Eric and I also enjoyed the excellent customer service I received from Ashley. Ashley is a very sweet person. This younger woman cashier. Ashley made me feel really welcome at their restaurant. Ashley told me Thank You 3 times. It’s great to know that Hot Dave’s Chicken Restaurant really appreciated my business. I will eat at this restaurant again. I understand the reason this Restaurant was very crowded with new customers waiting in line to be served by Ashley. It’s because this Hot Dave’s Chicken Restaurant trains their employees really well in giving their customers excellent customer service.
I highly recommend Hot Dave’s Chicken Restaurant.

Stopped in for lunch, waited a little while in a semi longer line maybe 10 min or so, We’ll worth it! The number 4 slider and fries was the perfect amount for myself for lunch, the pickle chips were a huge plus! Food taste great, and taste quality, medium was perfect heat! Will definitely be becoming a frequent visitor to this location

We went on opening day 3/10/2023. It’s a new location, new crew, I’d say they did a great job! The line was to the end of the building and took about 10 minutes to get to order which I didn’t think was bad. Then about a 10 minute wait for our order to be ready. All staff was very friendly, atmosphere bright and colorful. We anticipated there being a lot of people so we opted to order To Go but do definitely see us eating there in the future.

Chicken was moist, easy to pull apart, with just enough breading. The cook on the outside of the chicken is NOT burnt, it’s the shade of the seasoning. Super flavorful, not just heat. You choose your heat level, or none at all per item. Tenders are a good size and thick. Not scrawny like some other places. I like heat but not overly spicy, so mild to medium is perfect for me. My husband likes things a little spicier so he got medium & hot, he said hot was good for him.

Fries were crispy outside, soft inside, and seasoned well.

Came with delicious pickles, a dipping sauce which I would say is a sweetened mayo ketchup with a light seasoning (but I could be wrong).

Slider comes on a bun with pickles, slaw, and sauce. Tender(s) come with slightly toasted sandwich bread.

Mac & Cheese was ordered as a separate side. Creamy, not watery and pretty tasty.

This will definitely be our new go to!
