Urban Plates

been going here for years. my order is dialed in. always seems to get through the line in 5 min no matter how big it is. wide variety of options. kinda cramped interior by the cash registers but spacious outdoor dining completely makes up for it in the summer.

Excellent food! Healthy and inexpensive! Staff very friendly and helpful. For the not so healthy people still a great place and they have huge selection of cookies and cake. Beer and wine too!

The chimichurri steak is delicious. Also, I didn't know beets could taste so good. The protein portion might be a little small for the price, but they make up for it in quality.

I really enjoy Urban Plates restaurants, they provide high-quality and freshly prepared meals for a reasonable price. Their meats are hand-sliced to order and are very tender, for a side there are many options including salads, for dessert you can grab a cookie at the register. The selection for drinks are very good and unique. This restaurant does get busy, so be prepared to wait in line, also seating is hard to come by.

Went to Urban Plates in Del Mar on a Friday night, place was very busy. It's a 'get in line' kind of place, with stations for sandwiches, plates, soups, etc., you tell the chef/server what you want, they plate it in front of you. I had grass-fed steak with two sides, to go. Reasonably priced, generous portions, and delicious! Very nice place, wife loves it.
