Bolsa Vietnamese Restaurant

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in San Diego & Mira Mesa. Our large party ordered the pho, rice dishes and various appetizers to FULL satisfaction. The atmosphere is unlike other Vietnamese places. From the lighting to the music (piano included), excellent service to clean dining room, everything was perfect. Very delightful and will come back again, definitely a favorite and must-go if you are looking for great Vietnamese food.

We were looking to have a fried rice yesterday and Yelp took us to Bolsa. What it seemed to be a family owned business ran by women from the cooks in the kitchen to the servers up front. There was also a gentleman, could be the owner, who helped to serve the food and greeted the customers.

The place is clean. The porcelain plates and utensils look brand new and spotless.

We ordered the spring rolls, shrimp fried rice and steak dice. We very much enjoyed the food. There was a good amount of flavorful shrimp in the rice. The steak was marinated well and the meat was remarkably tender and juicy. The spring rolls were neatly wrapped and everything in it was fresh and crunchy, although, the sauce could use a little more flavor.

We loved the music in the background, which made us feel relaxed. We also had a good conversation with one of the servers.

Overall we had a great experience and came out full. We'll certainly come back again next time.

Outstanding! The best Vietnamese food that we have ever had. Stir fried rice noodles are our go-to dish. Hubby gets pork, daughter gets chicken, and I get it with shrimp. Egg rolls, spring rolls, and Pho are also delicious, as well as the vermicelli noodles. Ingredients are always fresh, and portions generous.

Please be aware that you should go up to the cash register when you are ready to go, or specifically ask for your check. I think that it's considered impolite to bring the check without you asking - like they are trying to hurry you out.

We were fortunate to discover Bolsa the first year they opened, over 20 years ago. It became and remained one of our favorites!

Good spot for delicious vietnamese food. Entered near nine, it wasn't busy. I've had nothing but enjoyable experiences here and plan to keep visiting. Prices that won't shock you.

We only had the pho and that was good. We did see one of the female workers talking on the phone and going to town on her nose, but thankfully she was not working at the time and not or waitress. The staff seemed very helpful, but also forgetful as we asked for a check a couple times and saw or waitress doing silverware soon after as we never asked. Or waitress and possibly the manager/owner was nice but was the one who forgot.
