Isshido Ramen

Good ramen! Big chunks of pork and great broth. Went when they first opened and had a pretty bad experience; service and food... But decided to give them another chance and glad I did.

I had the special, and my favorite part is the broth! I'm pretty a fan of firm noodles and the pork cut was decent but I'd recommend going with the signature or add more to make it more filling.

I liked that we got seated right away and the service is good, our waiter was very kind. The service can be improved by seeing if patrons need something, we found ourselves hoping to get eye contact in order to ask for something. I'm digging the modern atmosphere and mural in the corner. Always room for improvement, I like having competition in Mira Mesa.

I had the black Maya. Taste is good. the pork is juicy and soft. broth taste is very traditional. Service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be coming back.

This place was a solid 3.5 / 5. I suspect it will get better with time, as we visited within their first month of opening.

Nothing in particular to complain or rave about. The ramen itself was good. It could have been warmer, or spicier. But still enjoyable.

Our experience would have been better if they worked out some of the kinks in their service. I’d prefer dishes delivered around the same time, rather than distributed over 20 minutes, though they did warn us beforehand.
