The cheese steak was not too bad. The cheese whizz was extra salty. Next time I will try it with American cheese instead.

The original Philly cheese steak was good. Also ordered the pizza cheese steak and was decent, tasted like an upgraded hotpocket. And the serving sizes are decent a regular size should be good enough to fill you up.
Also, garlic fries weren't bad but they were missing like a sauce or something else to go along with them.

Flavorful, well toasted bread, juicy meats, gooey cheese, tasty ingredients, nice people. Some visits I go with my faves (mushroom cheese steak or corned beef and kraut), but other times I just ask for a random sandwich. I've never regretted that, even when they pick something I'd never think to order.
More seats in the new location is a good thing.

I literally just finished up a Pastrami sandwich and felt obligated to review this place. It's easily the best "East Coast Style" sandwich shop in San Diego. Their cheese steaks absolutely crush it and they even have the "TastyCake" cream filled coffee cakes which are literally the devil, because they are so addictive. To top it off, every time I've been there the staff is incredibly nice and friendly as well!

I have been talking up this place while I was away from the area, and my first visit back was better than I remember. I got "The Works" with garlic fries and a drink. It has just enough spice for those who don't like a lot. If you don't like spicy food, get the normal cheese steak. All in, it was ~$15, so not too bad Since there will most certainly be a next time, I will add a pic of the actual food next time! I highly suggest this great cheese steak place on the west coast!
