Public House La Jolla

If I could give ten stars I would. We wandered in to this empty place on a Saturday morning as other nearby breakfast places had lengthy waits...and very happy we did. First and foremost, Mel is a GREAT bartender. She knew SO much about the 300ish beers/libations they offer. If I had a bar I would hire her away in a second. Food was fantastic too. It was a perfect way to start our rainy Saturday in La Jolla!

This quiet little spot in a heritage cottage really doesn't look like much, but as soon as you open the menu, you see otherwise. Pages of some of the best beer, on tap and bottled. Did I mention the food? Proper beer battered fare and amazing burgers. Try the Santana burger!

Service was fantastic. Carly took great care of us and was very attentive. The food was just alright. The beer selection is quite nice, unfortunately the last few times I've been, they've been out of my first beer choice.

Cool cozy spot. Beer and wine only do I'd prefer beer and spirits but I can't fault them for that. Only came here for drinks and the staff was super accommodating for a party of 12. Will be coming back.

Know that I am an 80-beers-in-80-days customer so I may be a bit biased. Excellent selection of beers both on tap and bottled. Pub grub is tasty with more variety than many pubs. The covered patio is cozy and a great place to relax and watch people. Not a sports bar but they have a couple TVs and tune to whatever the crowd wants.
