Been coming here for 20+ years. It was once much better. Food used to be delicious and presentation was wonderful. Now it's become often bland and poorly cooked. The bar, once a new and lively addon, has become dated, unreliable and often closes early. The thing is this place could be great again. They have a good sized community, without much/any direct competition (which is maybe the problem) and it could be a hub for the locals again - if they just tried.
Yummy food! I've never eaten at the restaurant, but have ordered for carry out three times.
What a gem....who knew the Island in the Hills (Tierrasanta) could hide such a great Italian restaurant. Old School White Tablecloths and great Italian fare for reasonable prices. Not what you'd expect in a neighborhood of cheap eats and coupon giveaways (2 for 1 tacos). A must try!
A nice hidden gem of a restaurant in Tierrasanta. Italian classics and seasonal fare with tasty twists by talented chef/owner Javier. Romantic ambiance, but also appropriate for a business lunch. The patio is beautiful and great for parties. Parking can be a squeeze, but is free. Handicap accessible and family friendly.
Food is very tasty and waitstaff is attentive. Watch for special dining events that you'll need to make reservations for...they aren't to be missed.
We used to love their bar menu! Small lasagne and small Frazee salad with a couple glasses of wine. Great food and great value. Wish they’d bring it back. Staff is great. We were there tonight and there was only one waitress, and she was also tending bar. And it was busy! And she did a great job. Seems like management is out of touch with customers and staffing.
