Two call-in orders:
1. Chicken Marsala over pasta
Wedding anniversary dinner and Buttery noodles. Was more than we could eat! 2 huge chicken breasts smothered in Marsala sauce
were awesomely prepared and placed atop a mound of hot ribbon pasta.
2. The grilled cheese burgers (2)(medium rare)
were cooked to perfection and accompanied with 1000 Island dipping sauce, French fries and tomato and lettuce.
Perfect and ready in 15 minutes! Still hot when I returned home 15 minutes away!
What a wonderful way to “Stay at home.!” waiting out the ???? !! Pat & Bev
Both the food and the service were great. Waiter was attentive and helpful. Between the four of us we got the pulled pork, the chicken schnitzel, a salad with salmon, and the blackened ahi sandwich. The schnitzel was a little bit thicker than they do it in Germany, but everything was very tasty.
My favorite burger joint, Boll Weevil, finally kicked the bucket so I went out in search of another burger place. Fifty9Fifty did not disappoint. Good burgers, good selection of beers (no brown ales sadly), quick and friendly service. Casual vibe. I'd say it's a like a sports bar with a little class (what Champions Field attempted to be) Food is a bit on the pricey side for comfort food.
I loved the Mac and Cheese, had a great cheese flavor and saucy. Since I have trouble tasting things, it's always nice and surprising to find something I can actually taste. We got the garlic fries, they were ok. I could not taste anything on the Grilled Cheese Brisket sandwich, but hubby said it was ok, just a milder cheese and barely beef flavor. He loved the fries. Oh, I was so excited about the Lemon Cello Cheesecake I forgot to take a picture. It was more like a bit fluffy pudding but nice flavor throughout. I could eat that all by myself. Music a little loud, but it is a kind of pub so to be expected.
They are still learning the ropes of a new business, but the servers are very polite and more than willing to work towards correcting any mistakes the place makes. The food is good, but come with a bit of patience as there will be a bit of a wait. Otherwise, give the place a try. The menu shows some good happy hour specials.
