Jimmy Carter's Mexican Cafe

I love this place. The staff are incredible and the food is authentic. They make their sauces from scratch and everything on the menu is delicious. They have daily specials, even for breakfast, so if I’m not up for my favorite dish, the Sabroso Scramble, there is always something new to try.

The beef and veggie burrito was good, but I think I would like to have it all veggie next time. My wife had fish tacos, which she like, and both my kids had one beans and cheese burrito, that was devoured quickly, and they both shared a chicken quesadilla. We all left satisfied! Thanks for washing off my kids apple that he dropped ????

This was a great place for lunch and margaritas if your in Balboa, San Diego. It’s a very casual restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We didn’t want to leave.

This by itself is worth a trip to San Diego. Seriously. Fly there, eat here, fly home, and you won't be disappointed. They even made a mistake on my order which was so delicious I didn't even say anything because they knew it was what I wanted. I cannot stress enough that you have to eat here before you die. This is the best Mexican food I have ever eaten.
