    I just learned that Union BBQ is closing down today, which is unfortunate for two reasons: 1) They were the best BBQ spot in San Diego, and 2) I have a review I've been working on for them for a while and just never got around to post it.

    Good luck Jeff. You were head and shoulders above the rest of the BBQ in this city. Sorry things didn't work out. THANK YOU for the great meals you and your staff served to my daughter and I.

    The pulled pork is juicy and tender, the brisket falls apart and the mac n cheese has a delicious crust! It smells great, tastes great! Fries were cold, but the kiddo enjoyed them anyway. Will be back to try again.

    This place has the best brisket. Great BBQ at a reasonable price. The service is great and the atmosphere is low key. I'm still trying to get there in time for the beef ribs. They sale out fast. Give this place a try. You will be glad you came by.

    Popped in randomly as the family was driving around hungry. Hands down the best BBQ in San Diego. Better than Grand 'Ole BBQ. Definitely better than Phil's. The brisket was so good. Didn't need sauce but their sauce was too good to not add it. The only problem is that I'll be constantly craving it now.

    Some of the best BBQ around here! The brisket is incredible, and servings are large. All of the sides are delicious as well, not just cheap add ons. My only issue is that the soda always tastes... off. Not sure what the issue is but no matter which soda I get it has a weird chemical taste. Would be 5 stars if they fixed the soda issue
