Let me start with the good. The restaurant itself is designed very well. We were seated on the patio, which I was grateful for given how loud it was inside. I was pleased with how quaint the patio is and they had enough patio heaters to keep us warm. Also good was the food. We started with the poutine which was fabulous. I had the shepards pie. Wife had the eggplant and our friend had the Carbonara. All three dishes were very good. My daughter had pasta from the kids menu and loved it.
What I did not like and what will probably keep me from coming back was the wait. I make reservations to keep from having to wait. And I understand that sometimes guests will stick around a little bit longer than expected and therefore back things up. However, we waited almost 30 minutes to be seated and were told twice that they were getting the table ready. I did my best to overlook this and looked forward to my meal. Our appetizers were brought out fairly quickly however it was an hour after we were seated that our main dishes were finally brought to the table. So yes, we were there an hour and a half before we got our food. After we finished, we were rushed out with no mention of dessert.
Nice place, friendly staff, good food. Horrible wait.
Great food. Impossible Burger is delicious. Also recommend the eggplant. Happy Hour is also a good way to visit this place.
Jayne totally rocks! She is the ultimate host and has a 5-Star Team at the bar, on the floor and in the kitchen.
The burgers are The Best! Try any of their specials ... mussels with chorizo leeks and cherry tomatoes were a home run.
Food is fresh, wholesome and super flavorful. Bartender Gerard manages the bar, service with style. Nice selection of beers, wines and interesting cocktails- sazerac.
Try the pork chop.
It’s a quaint, quirky, cozy place. Jaynes from UK so there are nods to English cuisine like fish n chips, sticky toffee pudding and Indian-inspired flavors.
Execution is top-notch. Flavors are beautiful.
Great food. Good service, very professional. Not inexpensive but worth it.
Great little find in SD. Husband and I sat at the bar with a awesome view of the kitchen which was like live entertainment! Jayne herself came over and chit chatted for a bit gave us a little background of the restaurant. We orderd the Shepard’s pie and fried calamari, both were out of this world. The bartender served up some amazing cocktails and conversation. We will definitely be back for a future date night!
