Cotijas Mexican Grill

mexican food and the scene here is super good. Came in on a Weds. This place has a great feel to it. I can see why they have so many good reviews.

My daughter and I have been coming here for years. We love it. It's inexpensive and the food is great. There is a drive thru but sometimes it can get way too busy and the wait can go on for quite awhile. People wait though, because of the food. The bean and cheese burritos with salsa fresca and sour cream is my fave but I've tried the fish tacos and rolled tacos and the beans and rice. All are yummy. The staff have always been friendly and over the years I can honestly say I haven't had one bad experience here.

Food was fresh but I would of prefer bigger portions, or maybe I was hungry. Lol. Very friendly service, didn't catch the name of the gal!
One last thing, they were fast also.

Pre ordered a surf and turf burrito during my late work break and wow. Just typing about it is making me hungry for one. The staff was very friendly, patient, and the service was prompt and correct. They will definitely see me again!

Cotijas Taco Shop is conveniently located right on the main drag that is Garnet Avenue at Dawes just four blocks up from the beach in Pacific Beach. This is a pretty good taco shop for burritos and the regular Taco Shop Mexican Cuisine in a very casual setting. However the biggest best feature of this Taco Shop is their breakfast burritos. First of all the breakfast burritos are very good but more importantly every day from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. they are all priced just $3.99! That is a huge bargain for what would otherwise be double that price. They have the very popular hash brown burrito but my favorite is the meat lovers which is called steak and bacon burrito. In addition they also offer a really good steak and egg with potatoes burrito. Try them all as they are very filling and delicious!.
