Orderd a strawberry and almond drink. Super delicious!
Not a dinner but an experience!
If you are looking for authentic Italian food, HUGE portions for a great price and run by a charming Italian family, look no further. The last thing we were expecting to have coming to La Jolla on vacation was Italian food but the kids were getting tired of tacos and hamburgers. We came across a 4.8-star review of this place and it did not disappoint.
We tried their spaghetti and meatballs, Penne Florentine, Penne Pink Devil and the Fettucine Bolognese. They were all fantastic but the Bolognese was from an old family recipe cooked over 6 hours and was spectacular.
The restaurant and its staff were extraordinarily welcoming. The owner and his wife took time to chat and told us about the authentic Italian ingredients going into our dishes. It felt more like we were guests at their house than we were generic customers at a restaurant.
It’s strange but there are actually 2 Italian restaurants on the same block and we nearly went in to the other by mistake. Also, Sicilia Bella closes relatively early, at 8pm the night we were here. So be sure to note this if planning to eat here.
All in all, it was one of the best meals since coming to San Diego.
This is one of the best Italian restaurants that we have ever at ate! The staff are all so friendly and made our experience truly wonderful. We ended up getting six dishes: four pastas, a Caesar salad and a focaccia pannini. All of the dishes were really delicious and I do not think that there is one bad item on that menu. Overall, the food was AWESOME, the service was spatacular and we had one of the best meals that we had ever eaten in our lives. 200% recommend you eat here.
Absolutely delicious. The owner and his wife and the nicest people and helped me pick the perfect lunch (Tricolor Pasta with pesto & capers, and a mini cannoli). YUM. The atmosphere is very friendly and the food is AMAZING. Very fair pricing, too.
Very nice restaurant that we found by chance while visiting our son at UCSD. Food is authentic and delicious. Service is excellent. We will be back soon to try other dishes.
