This location is okay if you're going during popular hours or at time you know they just cut their fish (if they even cur their own fish). If you're going at an off time around 3 - 5, I'd be wary as the fish is often rubbery and stale.
Other than that, it's a fine place to have a quick poke fix, staff is friendly and the food is decent, good when they have fresher fish, and is easy to go in and out.
Oh love this place. Go for poke pretty much almost every week or every other week, before movie night. Always very pleasant and courteous service, fresh food, clean place!
This poke restaurant is located in a dense shopping plaza nearby UC San Diego main campus. It is a great lunch spot with excellent food. It can be quite busy during the typical lunch hour, but it is well worth it. Be sure to ask for the extra "1/2" scoop of your favorite topping.
Great customer service. The serving guy walked me through how to build my 3 scoops bowl. He was not rushing to get the order but took his time to introduce the type of food that I have never had it before. I really enjoyed the food with that crazy hot sauce.Thank you all.
It's a solid meal. If you like sushi then what's not to like about it all being tossed into a bowl with more condiments. It's great if you just want to grab a quick bite to eat and it's relatively healthy. I personally always get a small bowl since the only thing that changes with size is the amount and the variety of fish you get. The small size is plenty of fish in my opinion and I always like to ask for some salad with my rice base.
