L&L is pretty good different locations have different experiences, but I have never had a bad experience at this location. It is close to base and pretty popular during lunch with the military crowd.
My go to Hawaiian spot, any of my friends who haven't tried islander food, I bring here.
They have clean and friendly staff. The BBQ Mixplate is very popular and I also like the Chicken katsu, which is fried chicken cutlet. Don't be afraid to try new things!
Very yummy Hawaiian dishes, the mixed plates has chicken, meats, rice and their yummy macaroni salad. They cater and everyone love it for an office party. Lots to choose from good price, be patient as food is made while you wait and you'll smell the goodness
The service was awesome. The lady at the counter was kind and accurate, but my bbq beef came out charred and tough. It was a to go order, so fixing if would mean i'd have to get up and go back to the store. It's pretty run down, too. The employees don't wipe tables after people finish eating, either, so they're sticky and you might ruin some outfits if you're not careful. I probably wont come back to this location.
I actually used to work at the Pacific beach location, which I just found out is closed I think. The food was over the top and made with love. The staff was like family and taught me about Hawaiian food, music, and culture. Amazing people. Go and find a L & L in your area! I dream of the food.
