Spices Thai Cafe

My very own go to place to eat delicious authentic Thai food. I love this place! The customer service is excellent each time and the price is great!

I have had lunch specials here several times - good for 4 stars. However I am giving them 5 stars for making it extra spicy this day. I was in the mood for very spicy Thai food which is hard to get as I have high threshold for spicy food. I asked for 12 on scale of 1 to 10 and they did not disappoint. I was sweating after couple of bites.

Great Thai place with many popular Thai favorites. Lunch special includes soup and spring roll. Good flavors, not too spicy. Parking at lunch can be challenging with all the local businesses. Pretty, thematic decor.

I stopped by during a trip to San Diego and was thrilled to find a highly-recommended (by my hosts) Thai restaurant in easy walking distance from the Staybridge Suites in Mira Mesa. The menu had a wide variety of choices and the server/owner(?) offered suggestions based on what I wanted. I picked a Yellow Thai Curry with chicken and some fresh Spring Rolls with a Thai beer. I got to pick my spice level from 1-10 and chose 7. The food was delicious! The "heat" was just where I like it with a pleasant "afterburn" without distracting from the flavor. The prices were reasonable and the service was prompt and attentive. I ended up with enough leftovers to eat the following night as well. It was still great after reheating. I would have taken friends the next day, but they are closed on Sunday.

Food was good as well as the cleanliness and parking situation. Service could have been a little more attentive as there was a lot of waiting for things. Not super friendly either. There was only 2 servers that I was aware of but not that many filled tables so I would think it could've been better. I'd be back though as the food made up for everything
