chicken at this place - super tasty. Nice place to think about business. The service here is attentive. The bill was fair for the quality of food. Feels similar to a restaurant in Philadelphia that I enjoyed visiting.
What a fantastic find. Good home-made food, full of flavor and good sized portions! In fact there was quite a bit left to take home. The waiter was very attentive and very personable. Pricing was fantastic. If we're back in the area we will be back!
This place was established in 1938. There are employees that have been in place over 30 years. If you want a home cooked meal at reasonable prices check this place out. Their specialty is the chicken pot pies but they have other good meals such as brisket, spaghetti, and fried chicken. Recently they started serving beer and wine. With a meal you get soup, salad, homemade biscuits, and a slice of homemade pie. Nothing fancy just good homemade meals. Used to be cash only but they accept debit and credit cards. If you like the chicken pop pies you can get cooked or frozen to go. You can't beat their prices but don't expect anything fancy just plain good old fashioned food.
What can I say the food was delicious and filling. The Sheikh was real good the waitress looks like she's been there since day one friendly and know her stuff. The sad thing is it doesn't look like it's wheelchair accessible. However if you can get inside the doors are definitely wide enough to accept a wheelchair in the Alleyways are wide enough for the wheelchair to be able to get to the tables. Would I go back yes I enjoyed myself. The cost is not too bad for the food that you get the dinner meal I had came with a pork pot pie corn good mashed potatoes and gravy it was rather good to put it mildly and even the Buns you're pretty good.
Old school meals. Nothing fancy but you get a good complete meal for a very reasonable price. Expect to get a meat with two to three sides, a dinner roll and your choice of a slice of pie. All of that around $10-12! Nice staff. The dining area is big & old school.
