Fred's Mexican Cafe

Service was good for a busy day. Food was tasty. However bar need to access storage above our seat twice in 1 visit???

Food was very good. I often avoid old town but the group picked Fred's. I had the chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas. Excellent and I would definitely recommend. We had a group of 8 and they quickly accommodated us.

If you want to drink and have a good time then this is the place. Taco Tuesday is a great deal. Food is decent bartender are awesome! If Ashley is there you will want to sit at the bar!

Stopped in for dinner on Taco Tuesday. The prices are very reasonable. On Tuesday you can find discounted tacos and alcohol. A large house margarita was only $5.95, not bad at all. The majority of seating appeared to be outside, not a big deal as they had heated lanterns (this was in January).

I really enjoyed the Baja Tacos. They were super tasty and filling overall. Note, the tacos are not street taco style despite the low price. They were normal size tacos, much better deal anyway.

Normally a side of beans and rice is just kind of there and not very exciting. I can safely say that wasn't the case at this restaurant. The pinto beans and rice were delicious and left you wanting more. I will definitely be returning here when I visit San Diego again.
