Breakfast Republic

I was honestly quite neutral about this 'hot spot' after our experience but the food was tasty and experience unique for what it's worth.
The Good: Free mini cups of coffee make the wait more tolerable. Portions are generous and the food was unique and tasty (though we did have higher expectations). Convenient parking for just a few bucks right across the street. Overall, it was a unique experience that a brekky-junkie with patience will enjoy.
The Bad: Variable wait time really detracted from the whole experience! Initially we were quoted 30-35 minutes for a party of 5+1 only to find out at 45 minutes in that we were bypassed by smaller groups of 2 and 3. Plate sizes are extremely disproportionate to the table space. Not very kid friend. Food wait time is LONG (though that may be due to the fact that after we ordered drinks, our server went on break).
OVERALL: This was not a kid-friendly spot - tight spaces, long order time and general wait time, no table space. This is NOT a spot to be adventurous and dine sampler style where everyone can share simply because there is no room!

45 minute peak wait time but what can you expect? You're at one of the BEST breakfast joints in San Diego. Everyone is friendly, you can bring your dog, and lets not forget about the food - absolutely delicious! Quality never disappoints and the outdoor atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing and fulfilling meal. A+ !!

Very dog friendly with great outdoor seating. Food and service were awesome!!! My go to place for breakfast with my fury baby when I am in SD.

Everything was delicious. Their menu offered unique fare and a huge assortment sure to please everyone in your party. Coffee was available as we waited. As an added bonus, they were dog friendly. Sadly, they did not offer a dog menu however.

Service is great. Portion are large. Quaint adorable country decor. Outside back enclosed patio is very nice. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food. Mine, San Diego egg Benedict was a bit dry and the English muffin was hard to cut through. House potatoes are nicely seasoned with fresh herbs and are nicely browned; crispy outside soft inside. House coffee is good. Nice for small groups. They don't take reservations but we didn't have to wait because it is Tuesday. On the weekends the lines are long. Great atmosphere with tiny finches flying around. Definitely would recommend it.
