Black Radish is one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in San Diego. It's a very small and provides intimate dining experience. Being excited to try Black Radish, we showed up 10 minutes early for our reservation, and the table wasn't quite ready yet, so we waited outside. Immediately, John, one of the owners, came out and offered us a bottle of sparkling rose to for the "inconvenience". What service! This was totally unexpected, unprompted and unnecessary, after all, we were the one's who were early! When the table was ready a few short minutes later, we were sat and met with a lovely amuse-bouche and immediately felt like family. Chef Itze's food was amazing! Delicately balanced of fresh ingredients with artful presentations and sauces with deep, complex flavor profiles. The menu is short but everything on it is impeccable. The portion sizes are not out of control, but you are not going to go hungry, and despite the shorter menu, there's plenty to explore and great cocktails to try too! So go ahead, kick back, and enjoy. You're in great hands.
