Solare

Food was good and service was even better. I tried the meatballs and the fried risotto balls. The white bean soup with shrimp was also good. The focaccia was excellent. I sat outside on their porch and the portable heater made the experience just right. I really like Liberty Station. It’s the perfect mix of art and museums and food.

My girlfriend and I went recently for her birthday and we cannot say enough good things. Wanting badly to get away from the chain restaurant experience, we were not disappointed. From the friendly and helpful host and server to the delicious food and wine, Solare is a must try. I know nothing about Italian wine. Our server helped me find a great bottle which complimented an incredible prepartion of Tuscan lamp chops. We'll be back soon to eat and for a cooking class which they offer!

Good food. Enjoyed the rack of lamb very much. The fish was also good. First bite of the pistachio creme brulee was tasty, but started to feel the dense texture at following bites. It probably would be better if I had coffee to go with it. The pace is slow. Not good for eating before scheduled events unless you give ample time. I would go back in the future to try other dishes.

Came to Solare after we could not find parking in little Italy. I've heard good things, and I'm glad they could seat us almost right away on a Saturday night around 8. We both were very happy with our entrees, lasagna and a vegetarian pasta with tomatoes and pesto. Service was a bit on the slow side considering they were not extremely busy. We asked for the bread and olive oil which came out well after the salad. Overall the food was very good and I would come back!

Really good food. Great location. Super staff. It lived up to its Yelp reviews - and then some! Very memorable.
