Slater's 50/50

Loved everything! Easy to get to at Liberty Station with plenty of parking. My Tito's greyhound had fresh squeezed grapefruit. Really appreciate that. I had the Rosemary Turkey burger and it was huge. Lots of flavors layered on. The sweet potato fries was perfectly cooked and the pumpkin dipping sauce was a pleasant combination. Kids really enjoyed their 50/50 burgers and draft root beers too.

Love the atmosphere! Bartender (Gina) was on top of her game, recommending drinks, food, she was a lot of fun.
We ordered a regular cheese burger and a bison burger protein style. We waited way longer then expected, on top of that they were cold. I actually expected a larger (thicker) patty for the bison burger. Bartender returned them and made sure there was a rush on them. Bartender brought the issues to the attention of the manager on duty, he personally & promptly took care of the situation in a professional manner.

Service was good. Staff friendly and attentive but the food was just average. Burgers dry not juicy and over cooked. It was daughters grad party and she was content but not the best showing of the place. Maybe it was just an off day. I hope they will do better.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego; I try to make it here everytime I come visit. Tonight, we thought we made a mistake waiting (we were quoted 30-40 minutes and waited over an hour), but were not disappointed once we were finally seated.

Our server, who was also very busy behind the bar, Kohl, was incredible! His attention to detail and kindness were much appreciated, AND he was so genuine!! It's been a while since I've encountered someone who was that engaging and yet didn't ever interrupt our family time.

This place gets dang busy! And for a reason! Definitely some good hamburgers as you can see from the reviews. I live in SD and don't get here too much but when family comes in to town they all want to go. Wide selection of beers, great food and atmosphere. Definitely give it a go if you're looking for some great food.
