Taste of Hunan 湘村人家

Great place for some awesome Hunan food. I had the fish fillet and pickled vegetable soup. Delicious! I want to go back and try other things on their quite extensive menu. The service was very good as well I was there during their dinner service and it wasn't crowded. They are located in an area with lots of businesses so they might be busy at lunch time, so plan accordingly. Definitely worth a try!

I had a late lunch/early dinner here on a Saturday afternoon. Their steamed whole fish and stir fried marinated beef were both excellent. The decor is tasteful, their menus are beautifully done, the music is soothing, staff is friendly and helpful. I will be back. Highly recommended.

This is the most expensive restaurant I’ve been to and thought, “this is a really good deal.” Flavors are deep and delicious. Portions are generous. Not all the waiters speak English so if you want some modification or have a clarification to make it would be helpful to know a bit of mandarin. This is 100% the best Chinese food I’ve found in San Diego County.

Two big group dinners total of 16 different dishes. Love almost everyone except pig leg. Make sure come early before 5:30 pm without waiting or 6:15 pm with 40 minutes of waiting time during weekend. It is in top of my list to take visitor over.

I came here for dinner. We ordered a steamed fish, stirred fry pork with pepper, a pork belly dish, and a glass noodle dish.

I throughoutly enjoyed the meal. The food was authentic and flavorful. I really recommend the steamed fish. Servers were friendly and food came out quickly. I would bring my parents here!
