Angry Petes Pizza

A go-to Korean/Chinese place in my area. All of the food is pretty good and you can't go wrong with anything. It's not the best Chinese I've ever had, but it's very reliable as all the dishes we get are tasty and/or filling. I should also mention that the servers are very friendly and give us refills whenever we ask.

Not only is the pizza absolutely delicious, but Angry Pete uses quality ingredients—including ingredients local to San Diego and to Michigan when he can get them. The pizza toppings are always extremely creative, and they always exceed expectations. This is pizza you will crave constantly, and it will always satisfy. You won’t find a better Detroit style pizza (even in Detroit), and you won’t find a better pizza, period. The crust is crunchy and cheesey on the outside, but soft and flavorful on the inside. The sauce is rich and herb-y with a touch of sweetness, and the cheese he used is gooey and just so tasty. I could write novels of love letters about this pizza, but you should check it out for yourself.

Awesome pizza. Detroit style is my new favorite. The crust is thick but impossibly light and crispy. Toppings go right to the edge. Caramelized crispy sides. Light and chunky sauce. It sounds like they mix the menu up a bit so you might not be able to order all the toppings you want, but I'm looking forward to what they have coming in the future. I had the double pepperoni and it was perfection.

Angry Pete’s Pizza is dreamy!! It seriously has gotten us through quarantine with the take and bakes. It’s edges are so buttery and crispy and the inside is soft and fluffy. Impeccable flavor explosion in your mouth! Oh, and don’t even get me started on the hot honey. It’s a must! I put it on everything.

The best Detroit Style Pizza in Southern California!! (And I’m from Detroit, so . . . ). First of all, the dough is thick, but some how still light and airy. And of course it’s square, so there’s the crispy, burnt cheese edges on every piece. I’ve only purchased the half baked double pepperoni and cheese to take home and bake, and they are both bomb. I can only imagine the other flavors at locations are also bomb. Can’t wait to check those out too. Seriously, eat this pizza!! You will not be disappointed!!
