Bahn Thai

Even if I did not live in the neighborhood, this would still be my go-to Thai restaurant. They only have a few tables outside, and everything is served to go (which is the only downside - lots of plastic waste if you are eating there). Everything is always super flavorful and cooked to perfection. The service is always amazing, even when they get really busy. Be prepared to wait if it is a busy night and you did not call in your order ahead of time. I have never had a bad thing on the menu.

2. Moderate Spicy (add the Hot sauce as needed and they have plenty packed and ready to pickup)

4. Busy place but quick service.
5. Small outdoor dining available.
6. Not easy to park the car for pickup.

Always busy. Always people parking in the street to run in to grab their to-go orders. Definitely a staple of the neighborhood. Very well managed and staff are friendly and work quickly. Green curry is my jam. Get the Thai iced tea and stay up all night!

Love this place. Food is always good. Only complaint for me is the spicy choices- hot, med and mild. Hot is way to hot, med is slightly to hot and mild is extremely mild. The yellow curry and chicken skewers w peanut sauce are my favorites

Been on the hunt for some good Thai food in San Diego since I moved here a few years ago. Absolutely takes the cake. Coming from the east coast, my standards for crab Rangoon were pretty high and this place got it right. Even cut holes in the container so they didn’t get soggy. Perfect flavor and creamy texture. 12/10. Also ordered the bomber eggs, which were unlike anything I’ve ever had, but so delicious! Tons of flavor and texture was so good. Garlic stir fry with shrimp had awesome flavor, though we would have liked more veggies… would try something different next time. Crispy spring rolls were super fresh and not greasy at all. Very delicious. Had to try the mango sticky rice even though we were in a food coma ….also 10/10. Great price for all the food we ordered. Happy danced with every bite! A new favorite for sure.
