Long time local favorite coffee house and bakery. At the intersection of University Heights, North Park and Normal Heights.
    Indoor and outdoor seating.

A perfect coffee shop that knows exactly what it is. A cornerstone in the community. Irreplaceable and the only true way to feel University Heights. Baristas know all the locals and are sweet and kind to all who enter for the first time. Wonderful coffee and an incredible experience! Try the coconut latte!

This place is ok. Golden milk and Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuits are unique and delicious. They could work on their consistency of rule execution. 2 tines I've gone in and recently and was talked to regarding rules in place. Witch, I get, and have no issue following; however, each time I seem to be the example, odd.

1.) Wearing a mask, I just forgot to take one with me while walking my dog. They inquired about me having one, I said no, they offered me one that I took. Oddly enough the elderly Caucasian Gentlemen that were there, were not wearing them sitting at their table and walking around, odd....

2.) I was walking my dog, went in to grab coffee and a biscuit, with mask. When entering, noticed a couple with their dog sitting by the front window, cool. Ordered, and went to walk my dog as to not deal with him inside and allow him to potty. It started to rain, so when I went back I opted to sit and eat my biscuit before heading into the rain. It's at this point the employee came from around the corner and stated dogs aren't allowed except service dogs, understood and totally fine, I got my stuff together to leave. Interestingly enough, she then proceeded to the couple up front who had been there for at least 20 or more minutes and told them the same. To that point the couple then expressed their annoyance with the circumstance stating that what's the point after "Being there for hours?" while they walked home. So it appeared they only enforced that policy in the moment to that couple due to enforcing it to me and my dog, otherwise they were left to sit and enjoy their time with their dog there.

Now, I'm not gonna say race had anything to do with it. However, it's not very good optics when in each circumstance you're following through on you policy with a minority, but not constantly with those that aren't. 😉

Great coffee drinks and PHENOMENAL baked goods. The croissants are possibly the best I’ve had. We split a spinach croissant and a chocolate croissant - delicious. The regular brewed coffee is great as well. All around fantastic coffee shop with plenty of space to meet friends or stay and work a while.

Twiggs is a neighborhood gem. I LOVE their blueberry bagel (from big city bagels) with cream cheese and their latte is wonderful. My husband always enjoys his biscuit breakfast sandwich, which comes with bacon, sausage, or just cheese, and can also be served on a bagel or croissant. They have a large assortment of pastries and quiche, both of which I haven’t yet tried. The Italian sodas are unique and delicious, though a little sweet because they have flavoring syrup. The staff here is super nice and helpful, always with a smile behind their masks!
