Literally my favorite place. The food is 100/10. Staff are always super sweet. I wish I lived closer so I could eat their bowl everyday.
Oh my god, what a hidden gem at Liberty Station! I came here after a coffee date with a friend and decided to give it a chance. I am a huge Korean food critic since I grew up going to Seoul my entire life and enjoyed the best home-cooked Korean fare made by my grandma and parents. I decided to go with the bulgogi rice bowl per the owner’s suggestion. When I dove into my bowl, I couldn’t believe my mouth—such authentic flavors, tender *everything*, and pure party in my mouth—all at a very reasonable price. It was such a pleasure interacting with the owner as well! I couldn’t have had a better experience getting Korean food from an unassuming stand amidst countless other food stands in the market. Don’t pass this one up. I’ll definitely be back!
Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed by the California kimchi burrito. Considering that it's Korean/Mexican, I figured it would be full of flavor. Instead it just tasted like potatoes, it was filling but not what I was looking for. Maybe it's cause I like spice and even with their dressing, I hardly felt a tickle
The service was good though and I'd be willing to try a different menu item I just couldn't give this burrito 5 stars
Honestly super delicious! No crazy new invention of Korean food recipes, but definitely a cool twist on the classics. I got the bulgogi burrito and a spam musubi which has egg and kimchi rice instead if the regular musubi. Friendly service. The menu is much bigger so this review probably doesn't say it all. Honestly the marketplace/foodcourt is what makes for a great vibe. There's open carry for the brewery/bar in the market, tons of fun little shops and food stands, and outdoor seating with picnic tables and turf. Fun market overall and BOPJO didn't disappoint! If you're not sure what you're in the mood for try Liberty Publuc Market and something will catch your eye!
Honestly this wasn’t what I expected it to be after looking at the photos on both Instagram and other reviews here. I managed to get the spam musubi but the texture was sorta dry. The kimchi fried burrito was also another disappointment. It is also rather dry overall, though the flavors were better than the musubi. I had to smother both options in the spicy ranch to ensure there was some moisture in both items, but it ended up overpowering the inherent flavors of both items. I am hoping this was just an off day because this is a major letdown compared to everything else posted here.
