Always a great sandwich to be had at Grants.

Love this place!! Their new menu is great, lived the Smoking Joe. They make me feel like a regular.

We stopped here for the South Park Walkabout. The friendly gentleman waved us in as we were looking at the sign outside. The staff had samples of cookies and sandwiches which were really great! Seems like a really cute place to have lunch!

Spring has been in full bloom. Currently at the start of a “stay-cation,” I was twiddling my thumbs searching for a local cafe at which I could have a bite and surf the net. I was halfway headed up to La Jolla, when I remembered that Grant’s in South Park was on my mental/google list of places to check out.

I’m glad I hit the brakes and double backed. Grant’s is part cafe, part specialty foods (wines, cheese, a pepper jams), and lunch spot that has a diverse set of offerings for guests with varying wants and needs. They’ve got ice creams in the cold case, kombucha & beer on tap, curated wines by the bottle, wedges of cake, French toast made from house-baked challah and other breakfast/lunch/brunch items griddled to order. All of this is laid out on an open, well-ventilated floor plan with large window panes for walls allowing sunlight to flood the space. Bonus: The WiFi is free and doesn’t need a password. I might be sticking around in SD for vacations more often.

I really enjoyed this little hidden spot. Outdoor & indoor seating— serving brews & wine. They even have Booch Craft which I was stoked about. I got the California sandwich and it was awesome. Friendly service + good food / vibes.
